Minutes

present: Boris Shwartz, Hideyuki Nakazawa, Hisaki Hayashii, Kyian Demory, Luigi Corona, Yuki Sue, Kerstin Tackmann

Detailed timing of the talk:
12:02 start of talk
12:06 start Belle II detector
12:07 start trigger
12:09 start selection
12:16 start validation of backgrounds
12:19 start unfolding
12:21 start systematics
12:24 start tracking efficiency
12:27 start higher-order ISR effects in MC
12:29 start result
12:31 start a_mu results
12:32 start summary
12:33 end of talk
--> 31 minutes

The talk should be 15 min (plus 15 min for questions), so it needs to be shortened accordingly.

We discussed several suggestions for shortening:

-p.5: You can spend very little time discussing this slide. On the other hand, it would be nice to add a Belle II lumi plot.

-The part on background suppression can be shortened by giving details only for the most important backgrounds, and only mentioning the others briefly (more details can be in the backup).

-Slides 11 and 12 can be merged.

-Slides 13 and 14 can be merged.

-For the systematic uncertainties, you can focus on pi0 efficiency and MC generator, the others can be in the backup. It would be nice to simplify p.20 a bit.

-Slide 24 can go to the backup.

-Slide 25 can move right behind slide 22 (in this way you can avoid talking about the omega region twice).

Other comments on the slides (some might not be relevant after shortening):

p.6: Is there a more recent plot for the trigger efficiency?
p.9: pi -> greek symbol pi
p.11: L(pi/K) > 0.1 (second time)
p.12: (1) -> (2)
p.13: The plots show data and corrected MC simulation -- it would be useful to comment that we show no simulation for signal.
