The 2026 Belle II Academy will take place in Blaubeuren (Baden-Württemberg).

The German Belle II groups organize their fifth Belle II Academy, aimed at PhD students, early postdocs, and advanced master students, with kind support of the German Ministry of Research, Technology and Space. The academy takes place from Sunday, Mai 03 evening to Thursday, May 07 2026 noon at Tagungszentrum Blaubeuren near Ulm.

 

The school will cover two main parts with practical exercises:

  • Software Workshop (Giacomo de Pietro, Alexander Heidelbach, Thomas Kuhr)
  • Hardware Workshop (Sebastian Laudage, Ilias Tsaklidis, Florian Bernlochner)

 

Additionally, there will be further important topics for students and young scientists: 

  • Evening lectures on the organization of Belle II and documentation resources (Thomas Kuhr, Giacomo de Pietro)
  • Evening lectures on Career in Industry and Entrepreneurship (tbd)
  • Evening Workshop on Presentation Skills (Sascha Vogel)
  • A Team-Event: Exploring the surrounding nature in different ways and a social evening at the campfire (Ilias Tsaklidis, Ana Luisa Moreira de Carvalho)

 

We booked double hotel rooms for you. So you will share a room with another participant. The cost for the stay, breakfast and food will be around 500 € per person and will be payed by you directly on site. There will also be an additional conference fee of 50 € for each participant. You will receive payment information closer to the academy.
The travel is self-organized. 
You should check with your supervisor that you can have the money reimbursed afterwards by your home institute.
There might be some additional cost for on-site or off-site activities during the social events (e.g. entrance fees, bus tickets, ..).
