This meeting follows the submission of the expression of interest for the VTX system, a upgraded version of the Belle II VXD based on DMAPS. It is the first meeting only dedicated only to the design of the needed CMOS sensor, dubbed OBELIX. Even though the sensor fabrication is not yet funded, there is no time to loose and much we can start on the design front.
We target to build a community of scientists interested in the sensor and especially identify micro-electronic designers willing to contribute.
Our discussions should allow to:
- list the potential blocs needed and available (see below the dedicated page),
- identify critical steps and set initial milestones (general ones of course, to be updated),
- organize the work among contributors,
- release an initial working hypothesis for the sensor specs needed for integration.
We may not reach all these goals within this first round of discussion, but the work will start anyway and regular meetings will allow a quick convergence.
