For those who wish to drive to campus, there is a lot (lot 30) they can use which is a short walk (about 3 minutes) from Physics Hall. The lot is on Pammel Dr. across the street from Wilhem Hall and the sign for Ames Lab (see Google Maps photo here). Your GPS should find "lot 30" (it works with Google Maps). A map of the parking lots, showing lot 30 at the top, can be found here.
Note that you will need a parking tag to park in this lot (the ISU parking police are remarkably efficient). Tags can be obtained from the organizers.
To get from lot 30 to Physics Hall, please see the map here (which shows the walking directions from lot 30 to lot 26 which is right in front of the main door of Zaffarano Physics Addition) [Google Maps tends to choose inappropriate entrances in this case]. From the main door to Zaffarano Physics Addition, you can reach Physics Hall by either entering Zaffarano and turning right down the first hallway and passing through Room 12, the department office, or by continuing your walk south and entering Physics Hall through the next door on your left. A 360 degree of the area can be found here. If you have any difficulties, please call Jim at (515) 441-1258.
